Cabaiguan Cigars
Cabaiguan
The Cabaiguan Guapos cigar is a slight twist on the original Cabaiguan line. The Cabaiguan Guapos keeps the same Nicaraguan filler and binder but instead of having an Ecuadoran Connecticut shade grown wrapper, it has an Ecuadoran Connecticut sun grown wrapper. Cabaiguan is the name of Don Pepin's Cuban hometown, and as this is a joint project between he and Pete Johnson of Tatuaje, the name makes sense.
All I know is that Don Pepin and Pete Johnson make some great cigars. These may be a little more expensive than I'd like to spend on them but I still find myself picking up a few of these at a time and putting them into my humidor rotation. They are also great cigars for newer smokers who want to explore some peppery cigars. For smokers who like a bolder cigar, try the Cabaiguan Guapos Maduro. It has a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.
