Henry was a famous American Senator in the early nineteenth century, notable for being prominent among a group of nationalist 'War Hawk' politicians. First appearing in the 1840's, cigars bearing the Henry Clay moniker were once popular enough to require a Cuban factory dedicated to their creation. Most importantly, now crafted in the Dominican Republic, these premium medium-bodied stogies are loaded with choice Honduran longleaf filler layered within an oily Broadleaf binder and held firm by a velvety Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador.
