Padilla Single Batch Barrel Proof is the first cigar to be produced in the brand new Tabacalera Padilla in Nicaragua, which opened its doors in mid-2019. Being the first production cigar out of a new factory carries great expectations, especially when produced under the close supervision of such a superstar as long-time industry veteran Ernesto Padilla. Not surprisingly, those expectations were exceeded with this modern classic, which consists of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos and a dark, oily San Andres wrapper leaf from Mexico. The filler and binder leaves happen to be authentic Cuban seed Corojo grown on the famed Aganorsa farms in Jalapa.
