Leaf by Oscar has been one of the most successful cigar lines released over the past decade or so, and Leaf by Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo is Oscar Valladares’s way of celebrating. Leaf by Oscar was first introduced as a house blend back in 2013 for “Island '' Jim Robinson’s Leaf and Bean stores in Pittsburgh, Pa. As word got around, more and more people wanted to try the funky looking rustic concoctions, and the rest is history. Over the next few years, no less than 4 variations of Leaf by Oscar would be introduced, and this 5th blend is the crowning achievement. Leaf by Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo is handmade in the Oscar Valladares factory in Honduras. It is a true Honduran puro, meaning all tobacco used for the blend comes from the lush soil of Honduras—wrapper, filler, and binder. The wrapper on this cigar is the star of the show: An aged Criollo seed leaf grown on the Valladares family’s own La Florida Jamastran farm in Honduras. Some are calling this cigar Oscar Valladares’s best cigar to date. Is it? We’ll let you be the judge!
