Casa Magna Domus Magnus II
Casa Magna took the world by surprise when Cigar Aficionado named it the top cigar of 2008 beating out the likes of Fuente, Padrón and Pepín. While there have been small additions to the core line itself, there really hasn't been a big splash for the past three years, until now. The Casa Magna Domus Magnus cigar was released at the 2011 IPCPR show, the first major addition to the partnership between Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia. Casa Magna is blended by Manuel Quesada and made at Plasencia Cigars S.A. The Domus Magnus project was originally a limited release of one-hundred thousand cigars split between two Optimus and Primus vitolas. The insane popularity of these cigars and apparently just enough tobacco left over for another 30,000 or so cigars led to a 2nd release of the Domus cigars, only this time they were released in 3 different vitolas than the initial release, limited to 1,000 boxes of each. They were the Centuriones, Praetores and Bellatores. (Shop other Cigar Aficionado Top Rated Cigars)
