It took Ashton Cigars half a decade to introduce a new addition to their already world-class portfolio, but when La Aroma de Cuba Pasion hit the scene, the cigar world realized it was well worth the wait. The product of father-son team Jaime and Don Pepin Garcia of My Father Cigars, La Aroma de Cuba Pasion is the very first Nicaraguan Puro to wear a La Aroma de Cuba band. This means all tobacco used for this cigar is grown, cultivated, harvested, and cured in Nicaragua—wrapper, filler, and binder. We all know Nicaraguan puros are some of the best sticks around, but this one takes things up a notch. The unique wrapper leaf used for Pasion is a shade grown Nicaraguan leaf hailing from the Garcia family farms in Namanji, just East of Esteli. This region is about as ideal as it gets for growing tobacco, as the warm days, cool nights, and natural cloud cover shielding the area from the hot Nicaraguan sun lends to tobacco that is nothing but the best of the best.
