Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 1
Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 1 is the cigar that has brought fame and glamour back to the classic, all-but-forgotten Trinidad name. Over the years, Altadis USA has made several not-so-successful attempts to “bring back” the non-Cuban Trinidad brand. It wasn’t until they teamed up with Abel Fernandez down in Nicaragua that they finally hit the nail on the head. Blended by Abel himself and rolled at the famous Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua, Trinidad Espiritu re-kindles the Cuban legacy behind the name and tells quite a story with its smoke. It is a Nicaraguan puro, meaning every single sliver of tobacco used in each cigar has its origin in Nicaragua, most of it coming from Fernandez’s own family farms. The blend is rich and flavorful, yet not overpowering, making for an extremely satisfying experience. How satisfying, exactly? Well, we will let the rock-solid 90 rating in Cigar Aficionado answer that.
