Back then, Jose "Don" Pepin Garcia and his small team produced cigars in a tiny boutique shop in Miami, nobody imagined that one day their brand would become one of the most dominant monsters the industry has ever seen. One of the first cigars rolled in that small shop was Vegas Cubanas, but unfortunately the brand fizzled out as Don Pepin's other brands took flight. Fast forward to 2017, and we see Don Pepin bring back the brand, this time produced in his massive, world-renowned My Father factory in Nicaragua. The brand took off briefly, even earning some respectable ratings along the way, but history would repeat itself as it died off again a few years later. Then 2023 came along. There was one final attempt to resurrect one of Don Pepin's oldest blends, and this time, he got it right. A Nicaraguan puro, Vegas Cubanas contains all Nicaraguan tobacco—filler, binder, and wrapper. The wrapper leaf is a premium aged Corojo Rosado leaf grown on Don Pepin's own farm. This blend has quickly risen to the top, with a solid 93 rating in Cigar Aficionado and acceptance with open arms from Don Pepin fans the world over.
