La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut is the seventh addition to the world famous La Aroma de Cuba series from Ashton Cigars. Years in the making, this long-awaited release appeals to fans of classic sticks that reside on the milder side but still offer plenty of flavor and complexity, a breed that seems to have gone by the wayside in today’s ever-growing cigar industry. Like all La Aroma de Cuba cigars, this one is made at the state-of-the-art My Father factory in Nicaragua under the supervision of Jose “Don” Pepin Garcia. The blend is a simple and straightforward recipe of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobacco beneath a golden Connecticut wrapper grown in Ecuador. This seems like a recipe we have seen in so many cigars throughout the years, yet in the case of La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut, something just seems to be so much better. This seems to be a popular opinion, as soon after this blend was released, it promptly earned a series of 90+ ratings in Cigar Aficionado, the best being a rock-solid 92.
