Cohiba Riviera covers some serious uncharted territory for the famed Dominican cigar brand. For starters, it is the first box-pressed cigar to ever wear a Cohiba band. In addition, it is the first Cohiba to incorporate a Mexican wrapper leaf. As if that weren't enough, unlike nearly all other Cohibas that come out of the Dominican Republic, this line is made at the STG factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Long story short, this Cohiba might seem to most like anything BUT a Cohiba. However, this surely isn't a bad thing at all. As for the blend, the fillers come from Honduras and Nicaragua, the binder is Honduran, and the wrapper is a beautiful, oily San Andres leaf from Mexico. This 100% non-Dominican Cohiba obviously seems to be quite unique, and right off the bat it has become quite a revered spectacle in the world of premium cigars.
