Even without the name-bearing foot band, a deep burgundy red behind the familiar lion's head and crown on the main band makes the Liga Undercrown Sun Grown distinct from its brethren even at a glance. The golden-brown wrapper is even more of a distinct tell, and as soon as the foot is lit all pretense of confusion falls away. Mellow and smooth during the first few puffs, the flavor of the thick, creamy smoke quickly begins to set a solid, earthy foundation. The sweet spot is appropriately named, with chocolate, graham cracker, and allspice notes all making a mad dash towards the palate. The strength and flavor kick into high gear around the middle of the stick, with thick layers of spice, black peppercorns, leather, nuts, and salted caramel all making an appearance.
