A new cigar that is a combination of an old, well-regarded brand and old, finely aged tobacco the H. Upmann 1844 Añejo is a creamy smooth and medium-bodied treasure sure to delight both adventurous and mild-mannered smokers alike. As the name embossed in the brown and gold label suggests, H. Upmann stogies have been around in one form or another since 1844, but this succulent treat is the first of the brand to be classified 'Añejo', which those rum or tequila aficionados among us will recognize as signifying 'Vintage' (Hint: great beverage pairing choices!). What it means is each leaf of the Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan filler and every oily inch of the Pennsylvania Broadleaf binder and Ecuadorian Habano wrapper have all been aged at least five long, leisurely years.
