Cohiba Blue Cigars
When one of the most well-known cigar brands on the planet introduces a new regular production line, it’s usually a big deal, and such was exactly the case when Cohiba Blue entered the scene. Produced under strict supervision at General Cigar Dominicana down in the Dominican Republic, Cohiba Blue is a more fairly priced alternative to the exquisite high-dollar sticks that usually bear the iconic red dot. The idea of Cohiba cigars releasing an affordable “entry level” cigar ended up being quite the hit, and to this day this delicious concoction remains the easiest way to get into the brand. The recipe consists of a three-country filler blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican Piloto Cubano leaves held together with a Honduran Habano binder. The wrapper is also Honduran Habano, of premium grade and extensively aged, of course.
