The Mason Dixon Project by Crowned Heads Southern Edition Cigars
The Mason Dixon Project by Crowned Heads Southern Edition Toro cigar is ready to wage war on your senses and we reckon it’s got a pretty good chance of winning. That’s because it’s backed by a one of the best doggone boutique cigar companies on the planet. Crowned Heads is already responsible for many of your favorites; Four Kicks, Las Calaveras, and Headley Grange to name a few, and the new Mason Dixon Project limited edition smoke is on its way to the top o’ the heap!. The Southern version, and Y’all know Cigarplace is headquartered in the South, is comprised of a blend of all-Nicaraguan longleaf that’s so delish it will make your tongue slap you upside the head. The whole shebang being wrapped up in a creamy Ecuadorian Connecticut is just pouring on the gravy.
With its simple black and gold band, this 6" x 52 ring Southern Edition smoke is proud to show off the natural blonde color of the lightly veined outer leaf, which smells of fresh cut grass. The foot gives more of a hint to the true character of this cigar, releasing an aroma of coffee and oak which show up at the door once you are savoring the clouds of smoke available through the buttery smooth draw. The main profile is earthy like freshly turned soil but there is plenty of biscuit, pecan, and cracked black pepper to pass around as well. The flavor stays balanced deep into the second half of the cigar, with hints of minerals and molasses keeping things from going, uhhh, South.
You don’t need a porch, a rocking chair, and a glass of sweet iced tea to fully enjoy The Mason Dixon Project by Crowned Heads Southern Edition Toro cigar, but you’d be hard pressed to find a better way. Unless your way is Bourbon. Hoo boy would that be tasty!
