LEAF by Oscar Connecticut Robusto Cigars
LEAF by Oscar Connecticut Robusto cigars are delectable treats that were once nearly impossible to find. Originally conceived by ‘Island Jim’ for his Pennsylvania cigar shop and brought to life by master blender Oscar Valladares, these small-batch Honduran smokes quickly became a hit that demanded a broader audience. Valladares responded by increasing production at his boutique factory, making it possible for cigar enthusiasts everywhere to experience the hype firsthand. Among the four LEAF blends, the Connecticut stands out as particularly unique, being a rare Honduran Puro wrapped in silky shade leaf.
Unwrapping the 5" x 50 LEAF by Oscar Connecticut Robusto is a near-sacred ritual. Take a moment to savor the crisp aroma and flawless construction as the stick is revealed. A cold draw delivers gentle earthiness and fresh hay notes, and lighting it is effortless, producing an even, steady burn. Cream and cedar form the core of the flavor profile, accented by subtle black pepper and occasional bright flashes of citrus that reward patient smokers.
Slightly stronger than many other Connecticut-wrapped cigars, the robusto remains approachable even for novices, making it ideal for all levels of experience. Perfect as a morning companion with a good cup of coffee or relaxing later with a gin and tonic on the deck, this cigar is versatile and satisfying. Supplies move quickly, so grab a bundle while you can—or risk waiting until the next batch arrives.
