El Gueguense Corona Gorda Cigars | Selected by Cigar Aficionado 2016 #25 Cigar Of The Year – Rated 92
El Gueguense Corona Gorda cigars mark the impressive debut of Foundation Cigar Company, but don't mistake this for a rookie venture. Helmed by the renowned Nicholas Melillo, one of the masterminds behind some of Drew Estate's most famous traditional blends, this launch is backed by profound expertise. Melillo has meticulously selected an all-star lineup of Nicaraguan tobaccos for El Gueguense, meaning ‘the wise man.’ Each vitola boasts dual versions of Corojo 99 for the wrapper and binder, complemented by more Corojo 99 in the filler and a substantial dose of Criollo 98 for added complexity.
Once the finest Nicaraguan tobaccos are selected, aged, and expertly blended, they are entrusted to the skilled craftsmen and women at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa. The result is a handmade 5 1/2" x 50 corona gorda that rivals the most famous cigars in both appearance and construction. The smoking experience is equally exceptional, with a smooth draw that delivers a creamy burst of smoke from the first puff, thanks to the cedar aging each cigar undergoes before release. Enjoy rich flavors of dark chocolate, spice, toffee, and black licorice as the El Gueguense transitions from medium to full-bodied throughout its slow and satisfying burn.
Launching a new cigar company in today's competitive market takes serious courage, and if anyone can pull it off, it's Nicholas Melillo. Get in on the ground floor by ordering your allotment of El Gueguense Corona Gorda cigars today. Just be sure to keep some hidden from your friends because they'll be begging for one every chance they get. Better yet, point them to Cigarplace.biz, and we’ll take care of the rest.
