The blend consists of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers from Jamastran, Jalapa, and Esteli, respectively. The binder is a high-end Piloto Cubano from the Dominican Republic, and the wrapper is a unique Nicaraguan Broadleaf from Jalapa. All tobacco used in the construction of Royale is aged five to six years, and the line is rolled by only a select few at the STG factory. Since its debut, Royale has collected numerous accolades, the most notable being a pair of 91 ratings in Cigar Aficionado. Connoisseurs get ready! This one will give you something to talk about.
Packaged in beautiful 10-count treasure chests, Royale boasts some of the most unique and bold packaging ever for a Cohiba cigar line. Each finely tuned and precision-rolled vitola bears a sparkly white, red, and black band and is near-seamless in construction. The silky blue smoke oozes from the head of the cigar, greeting the palate with an initial blast of bold black pepper. This first spicy storm soon settles, however, into a beautiful blend of coffee, chocolate, and cedar. The robust earthy core offers no shortage of potent raw tobacco flavor, and the finish is long and rich. After all is said and done, Royale finishes at the edge of medium-full and full-bodied. The popular 6” x 50 Toro size offers a lengthy and intense smoking experience that will please just about any lover of fuller-bodied sticks.
