Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Robusto Cigars
The Romeo y Julieta Reserve Robusto is a bold departure for a brand traditionally celebrated for its milder profiles. Crafted at the La Flor de Copán factory in Honduras, this line represents a sophisticated step into the full-bodied market. This 5" x 54 Robusto is a standout in the series, having earned a distinguished 90-point rating from Cigar Aficionado. It is engineered for the enthusiast who demands a high-performance smoke that balances raw power with the refined, aged sweetness for which Romeo y Julieta is globally recognized.
The construction features a dark, oily Nicaraguan Habano wrapper blanketing a complex core of aged Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers. This blend results in a hearty, medium-to-full-bodied experience that is rich and multi-layered. Upon lighting, smokers are greeted by a "tingle" of peppery spice—particularly evident on the retrohale—which soon evolves into a smooth medley of cedar, toasted nuts, and leather. Despite its strength, the expert aging of the tobacco ensures that the boldness never eclipses the subtle nuances of the flavor profile, providing a clean and satisfying finish.
Whether paired with a small-batch bourbon or enjoyed as the finale to a gourmet meal, the Romeo y Julieta Reserve Robusto delivers premium complexity and undeniable value. This 90-rated selection proves that the legendary brand can compete at the highest level of the full-bodied market while remaining approachable to any smoker looking for a robust, well-constructed vitola.
