Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Robusto Cigars
The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Robusto marks a confident evolution of a long-standing favorite. Where the original Dominican Reserva Real leaned smooth and mellow with just a hint of spice, this 5" x 50 Nicaraguan puro embraces a richer, more expressive profile. Crafted exclusively from aged tobaccos grown on AJ Fernandez’s Estelí farms, the blend is carefully fermented and matured to highlight depth, balance, and complexity before being expertly rolled by some of the industry’s most skilled torcedores.
The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua has earned multiple 90+ ratings reaching as high as 93 and secured its spot among the industry’s best when Cigar Aficionado named it the #9 Cigar of the Year for 2022.
The bold shift is evident at first glance. The classic red Romeo y Julieta band is replaced with a striking blue-and-gold design, signaling the modern character within. A smooth, dark wrapper offers pre-light aromas of creamy milk chocolate, while the cold draw introduces notes of blackberry and soft cream. Once lit, the cigar opens with layers of earth and espresso, gradually revealing refined flavors of vanilla, orange peel, wheat cracker, and a subtle touch of licorice.
With impeccable construction and consistent flavor from start to finish, the Reserva Real Nicaragua Robusto earns its place in the Romeo y Julieta portfolio. Fans of well-known Nicaraguan blends like Tatuaje, Joya de Nicaragua, and 601 will appreciate this cigar’s modern polish and confident strength. Bold yet balanced, it’s a refined smoke that won’t stay in the humidor for long.
