Romeo y Julieta Crafted by AJ Fernandez Robusto Cigars
Romeo y Julieta Crafted by AJ Fernandez Robusto cigars represent a powerful union of heritage and modern craftsmanship. This celebrated collaboration blends the legendary legacy of Romeo y Julieta and Altadis USA with the contemporary blending expertise of AJ Fernandez, one of Nicaragua’s most respected cigar makers. As the second release in the “remastered classics” series, following Hoyo de Monterrey Crafted by AJ Fernandez, this cigar has earned widespread attention since its release in mid-2016.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua at Tabacalera Fernandez, the Romeo y Julieta Crafted by AJ Fernandez Robusto is composed of a carefully selected mix of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos grown on AJ Fernandez’s own farms. Each tobacco was harvested specifically for this blend to ensure depth, balance, and consistency. The cigar is finished with a dark, oily Habana 2000 Maduro wrapper that adds richness, complexity, and visual appeal.
AJ Fernandez is known for exceptional construction, and this robusto delivers an effortless draw and dense, flavorful smoke. The profile opens with a sweet, spicy note before transitioning into rich cocoa and mocha flavors. Earthy tobacco undertones provide structure as classic maduro character meets bold Nicaraguan spice. A smooth raisin sweetness lingers on the finish, highlighting the precision behind this expertly crafted blend.
Medium-to-full-bodied, this cigar is well suited for smokers with a developed palate. Smooth, complex, and satisfying, it pairs beautifully with scotch, rum, or port wine. Measuring 5" x 52, the robusto size offers a balanced, approachable introduction to this outstanding blend. Romeo y Julieta Crafted by AJ Fernandez Robusto stands as another impressive achievement from AJ Fernandez and a modern expression of a timeless cigar name.
