ROMEO by Romeo y Julieta Robusto Cigars
The ROMEO by Romeo y Julieta Robusto is a bold departure from the brand’s traditionally mild profile, offering a richer, more powerful expression wrapped in a thick, chewy Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Crafted by a boutique-style team of artisans at Tabacalera de García, this standout blend brings together Dominican Piloto and Olor long-fillers, supported by an Olor binder, creating a cigar that delivers depth, balance, and unexpected intensity while remaining impeccably refined.
The pre-light aroma and cold draw are clean and straightforward, but once lit, the cigar opens with assertive black pepper and earthy spice, hallmarks of premium Habano tobacco. As the burn line settles and the ash firms, the profile evolves. Smoked slowly, the dry white smoke reveals layers of dark fruit sweetness, complemented by cocoa and leather from the Piloto tobacco. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper continues to build strength with notes of oak and warm spice, giving this 5" x 54 robusto a complex, medium-to-full-bodied character that deepens through the final third.
Adding to its prestige, ROMEO by Romeo y Julieta earned a Top 3 ranking on Cigar Aficionado’s Best Cigars of 2012 list. Best enjoyed with cool water to preserve its nuanced flavors, this award-winning robusto rewards patience and attention. For smokers seeking a bold yet elegant cigar that redefines the Romeo y Julieta name, the ROMEO Robusto delivers a truly memorable experience.
