ROMEO Anejo by Romeo Y Julieta Robusto Cigars
Innovation rarely looks this seasoned. The Romeo y Julieta Añejo Robusto is a testament to the brand's ability to evolve, trading their traditional mellow profile for a deeply aged, "Añejo" experience. This 5" x 54 Robusto is a literal time capsule of premium leaf: it features a dark, sultry 2010 Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a 2008 Dominican Olor binder, and a core of 2009 Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. The result of this extensive fermentation and rest is a remarkably smooth yet powerful medium-to-full-bodied smoke that commands respect.
The exceptional craftsmanship of the ROMEO Añejo by Romeo y Julieta Robusto has not gone unnoticed by the industry’s top critics, with the blend earning impressive ratings as high as 91 from Cigar Aficionado for its rich complexity and flawless balance.
The experience begins with a pre-light aroma of sweet earth and cocoa. Upon lighting, the vintage Broadleaf wrapper takes center stage, delivering a luxurious "sweet heat" characterized by dark chocolate and cinnamon. As you transition into the second half of the cigar, the strength intensifies as the aged Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers provide a sturdy backbone of spice and roasted coffee. This is a bolder side of Romeo y Julieta, but one that retains the signature refinement that has made the label a household name for generations.
Designed for the seasoned palate, the Romeo Añejo Robusto is the ideal companion for a heavy espresso or a smoky single malt scotch after a gourmet meal. It stands as a sophisticated alternative to other legendary aged releases like the Arturo Fuente Anejo. If you are looking for a cigar that prioritizes the deep, resonant flavors that only time can produce, this Robusto is an essential addition to your collection.
