Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Torpedo Cigars
Celebrate in style with the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Torpedo, a cigar that delivers smooth, refined, and enticing flavors in every draw. Years of meticulous aging went into crafting this masterpiece. Featuring Dominican and Nicaraguan longleaf fillers aged 8 years, the blend is perfectly balanced, with a robust ligero that adds depth without overpowering. The true highlight is the wrapper—a rare 7-year-old Connecticut Shade leaf, perfectly fermented and aged longer than any other on the market, giving the Torpedo its signature golden-brown hue. This iconic vintage falls into the mild category and is widely regarded as a must-have for any humidor.
This cigar blend has earned widespread acclaim, with a 91 Rating from Cigar Snob, a 91 Rating from Cigar Journal, and an 88 Rating from Cigar Aficionado, cementing its place among the finest cigars available today.
Part of Patel's acclaimed Vintage series, the torpedo is medium-bodied, densely packed, and expertly rolled for a smooth draw that brings out sweetness and spice. At 6 1/8" x 52, the first thick clouds reveal crisp cedar, warm nutmeg, and velvety cream flavors, complemented by a bright floral aroma. The smoke evolves gracefully, offering notes of fresh-cut hay, dark earth, Irish whisky, vanilla, and a hint of red pepper, making each puff a sensory journey worth savoring.
Perfect for any occasion, whether paired with morning coffee or a flute of Champagne, the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Torpedo is comparable to other premium Connecticut-wrapped classics like the Montecristo White or Gran Habano Connecticut #1.
