Rocky Patel Cameroon Especial Robusto cigars are Dominican filled, Honduran bound, and Cameroon wrapped. This is a 5” x 50 bundle priced cigar from one of the most talented blenders in the cigar world today. Combine that blending talent with an excellent farm with a reputation for rolling consistently good cigars and you have a winner on your hands. The Rocky Patel Cameroon Especial Robusto has a dark brown chair that both looks and smells like an old leather chair. There is a bit of a sweet tobacco aroma to it as well. The flavors in the 1st third are heavy leather with light notes of spice and a touch of what almost tastes like an aromatic pipe tobacco flavoring. The flavors in the 2nd third is a sweeter, earthier, and creamier nut flavor than the flavors present in the 1st third. The entire cigar has nuances of flavors that enter and exit with little to no rhyme or reason as to why. Whether this was intentional or purely a accident, I likely won't ever know but it makes for great complexity in a cigar that one wouldn't expect complexity in. Bottom Line is this Rocky Patel Cameroon Especial Robusto cigar is known for being a great value for your money. Some of them have a wavy burn line that might require a few touch ups here and there but for this price it certainly doesn't detract from the smoking experience.
