Who else could have wrought this devilish delight but the current reigning master of tobacco, A.J. Fernandez. Tasked with developing a potent blend that would leave in smoldering ruin all other pretenders to the throne on which Punch sits, A.J. first summoned a host of 4-year-aged Nicaraguan and Honduran Habano-ligero to serve as filler. He then formed an alliance between a hefty Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a spicy Ecuadoran Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, aged 6 and 4 years respectively, and gave them preeminence over the filler to create a cigar of awesome character.
When pulling one of these obsidian-hued sticks from the dark recesses of your humidor, it's normal to have some apprehension about the smoking ritual you are about to undertake. The sleek Sumatra wrapper beneath the red, black, and silver band is almost menacing in appearance while wafting a sharp mineral aroma.
