Plasencia Alma del Fuego Concepcion – Pack of 5 Cigars - Free Shipping!
Selected by Cigar Aficionado as the #13 Cigar of 2019 – Rated 93
As the third blend in Plasencia’s award-winning “Alma” series, the Alma del Fuego Concepcion made an immediate impact when it launched in 2019. Although the Plasencia family has cultivated elite tobacco for generations, its emergence as a premium brand is more recent—and each Alma release has strengthened the brand’s reputation. Alma del Fuego stands out for its dedication to one of Nicaragua’s most remarkable regions: the volcanic island of Ometepe.
Shaped by twin volcanoes and rich, mineral-heavy soil, Ometepe produces tobacco with unmistakable flavor and character. Alma del Fuego showcases this distinctive leaf throughout the binder and filler, blended with additional Plasencia tobaccos and finished with a beautifully oily Jalapa-grown Nicaraguan wrapper. This powerful combination delivered a complex profile that earned a 93 rating and the #13 position on Cigar Aficionado’s 2019 Top 25 list.
Every detail—down to the triple-banded presentation and the ashtray-style box—reflects premium craftsmanship. Performance is equally impressive: an effortless draw, razor-sharp burn, and dense smoke from first light to final inch. The flavor journey begins with rich earth and assertive black pepper, evolving into notes of red chili, dark chocolate, and creamy sweetness. The retrohale brings bold spice and volcanic depth, while the finish settles into a smooth, medium-full balance. The 6" x 54 Concepcion format provides a slow, cool burn ideal for savoring the blend’s transitions.
Alma del Fuego is crafted for true aficionados seeking intensity, nuance, and refinement in a Nicaraguan puro. Its flavor profile pairs beautifully with black coffee or a robust dark beer, enhancing its earthy and spicy character. Fans of Padron 1964 or Oliva Serie V Melanio will find similar richness and craftsmanship here. “Soul of Fire” is more than just a name—it’s the essence of the experience. Ignite a Plasencia Alma del Fuego Concepcion and discover why it remains one of the most talked-about cigars of its era.
