Perdomo Reserve Limited Cameroon Edition Petit Corona Cigars
Back only until they’re gone and in just one size, the Perdomo Reserve Limited Cameroon Edition Petit Corona cigar is an encore performance of epic proportions despite their diminutive size. We’ve mentioned many times before how sometimes a cigar needs to be discontinued because one or more of its tobaccos are no longer available in either quality or quantity, and such is the case here. Faced with the choice between substitution or retirement, Nick Perdomo decided that once the original Reserve Cameroon’s rare wrapper ran out it would be time to move on. Fortunately, he recently discovered he had just enough of the leaf remaining to create a few more boxes of petit coronas.
Those aficionados who helped deplete the original cigar stock will remember how nice they smelled and felt, solid and smooth and with a fresh hayfield aroma. Cameroon wrappers are often mottled in appearance and due to their limited numbers you may find those on this Perdomo Reserve Limited Cameroon Edition Petit Corona, 4 1/2" x 44, to be a little homely but taste and draw are unaffected so it’s best to just get smoking. In addition to lively tobacco, initial notes of citrus and cut grass prepare the palate for richer flavors of leather and mocha present after an inch or so, which then transition to malt and some caramel sweetness from midway to finale.
Don’t wait long before grabbing a box or two because this really is your final shot at grabbing some before they are no more. You’ll find them perfect as quick cold-morning smokes before rushing off to work, awesome with a Bloody Mary after escaping the Sunday brunch crowd, or delightful with an iced tea on a slow summer afternoon. Nothing makes any moment a special event like a Perdomo Reserve Limited Cameroon Edition Petit Corona.
