As unique and expressive as the men behind their creation, the O.S.O.K. (AKA One Shot One Kill) Travieso line of premium cigars demands your attention. A collaboration between renowned urban photographer turned cigar magician Edgar Hoill and former Camacho golden boy Christian Eiroa, O.S.O.K. was forged through a passion for good tobacco and a desire to experience life to the fullest. Nicaraguan puros to the Nth degree, each rugged vitola is packed to near bursting with a complex blend of well-aged filler beneath a perfectly fermented Habano wrapper. Bearing both a black and silver band and a full-length decorative paper sheath you may think the O.S.O.K. Travieso 5-pack cigars overdressed for the occasion, but Hoill’s approach to both the making and enjoyment of a cigar is as a work of art so take a moment to appreciate the yin and yang inspired designs before digging in. Once alight, each firm and toothy stick will produce reams of creamy smoke that fill first the nose and then the room with a sweet, herbal aroma. Initially peppery and quite strong, no surprise when Eiroa is involved, the O.S.O.K settles during the first inch into a medium to full-bodied vessel for delivering leather and slate and spice. Increasing in intensity as it burns, this cigar will enthrall the palate until the nub is too short to comfortably hold, and then just a bit longer. The One Shot One Kill name refers to Hoill’s reputation for getting the perfect result in one take and this ability seemingly extends to his cigar endeavors. Available in a variety of unique and exciting vitolas, where shaggy feet and bulbous perfectos abound, O.S.O.K is not for the faint-hearted or strict traditionalists. However, if you’re an experienced aficionado looking for a more daring adventure than your everyday go-to can provide, grab a box and hold on.
