If you know Oliva, you know the Melanio line is their crown jewel—and the Robusto size might be its most balanced expression. Coming in at 5" x 52, this cigar packs everything that made it a Cigar Aficionado Top 10 pick in 2016 into one intensely satisfying ride.
Built by some of the finest hands in the cigar world, the Robusto features a bold Nicaraguan ligero core wrapped in a gorgeous, oily Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper. The construction is flawless, the burn is razor-sharp, and the draw delivers a smooth, full-bodied smoke right from the start.
Expect a big opening hit of peppery ligero spice, quickly smoothed out by flavors of rich earth, dark chocolate, and black coffee. As it burns down, the cigar gets deeper and darker—layers of cocoa, nutmeg, and charred wood come into play, all riding a wave of creamy smoke.
This cigar isn’t for beginners—it’s a robust, no-nonsense smoke built for serious connoisseurs. It pairs like a dream with bold drinks and finishes with the kind of complexity that keeps you thinking long after the last puff. Think Padron 1926 levels of quality—with that unmistakable Oliva smoothness.
If you’ve been waiting for a cigar that delivers on both strength and sophistication, the Melanio Robusto is calling your name.
