The Meet Your Maker New World All Star Cigar Sampler includes:
1 x New World Cameroon Doble Robusto (5 1/2" x 54, ●●●○○ Medium).This fine smoke starts with a fine-tuned filler recipe of premium longleaf sourced from Fernandez’ own Nicaraguan farms, also home to juicy leaf used for the binder. However, the piéce de résistance of this medium-bodied stick is the gorgeous African Cameroon wrapper used to turn the potent collection of aged interior tobaccos into a velvety everyday delight. The first third begins mild and smooth, providing the flavors of earth, cedar, and rye backed by a marzipan sweetness. A warm spice kicks in during the second third alongside rich black coffee, while notes of dark chocolate and caramel soothe the palate during the long final moments.
1 x New World Connecticut Toro (6" x 52, ●●○○○ Mild-Medium).This cigar features a tasty blend of Nicaraguan and Brazilian filler, a San Andres Mexican binder, all under a beautiful blonde Connecticut shade wrapper. The true beauty of this cigar is the fact the creamy nature of the wrapper leaf plays off the spicier filler tobacco perfectly and gives an amazing complexity to this smoke. While this may feature the traditional mild body one would expect from a Connecticut wrapped stogie, it still remains extremely flavorful.
1 x New World Gobernador (6 1/2" x 55, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). Filled with three different Nicaraguan tobaccos, viso from Ometepe, and ligeros from Condega and Esteli, this cigar is bound in a Jalapa binder and wrapped in a dark Nicaraguan wrapper leaf. The cigar is rigidly box-pressed and offers some of the best pre-light flavors. As soon as the New World touches your lips, there is strong notes of the best bitter, dark chocolate and earth that will make you reach for your lighter quickly. These pre-light flavors continue throughout the cigar but the natural fruity maduro sweetness plays a much larger role the more you smoke. Each flavor note mixes with a subtle spice that makes the New World an extremely complex cigar, especially for one that is a puro.
1 x New World Puro Especial Toro (6 1/2" x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full).Here we have a gorgeous stick containing all Nicaraguan tobaccos from A.J.’s farms in Nicaragua, all aged between 3 and 5 years and from distinct growing regions. The result is nothing short of a masterpiece, earning a solid 93 rating and a spot-on Cigar Aficionado’s prestigious Top 25 Cigars of 2017. A coffee-brown wrapper shines with natural oils and boasts a mildly toothy texture. Expert construction complements the expert blending on New World Puro Especial, making for an easy draw and unusually high volume of silky white smoke. The gorgeous Nicaraguan Puro starts off with pepper and spice, and plenty of each. The overall earthy profile is studded by notes of rich tobacco and nuts, along with some subtle sweetness hidden between the bursts of chili pepper and oak. A sweet, creamy finish seals the deal, though each puff retains a heavy presence of spicy white pepper, something so common with high-end Nicaraguan cigars.
