93-Rated) 2017 #22 Cigar of the Year. Thick smoke hits the palate hard with a rush of spicy pepper at the start, and transitions to a more mellow, fruity medley of subtle, sweet notes. Cocoa and tobacco are apparent throughout the experience, and the finish is sweet and nutty. Residing on the thick end of medium-full, Joya Black will undoubtedly please just about any fan of bold cigars.

93-Rated) 2018 #16 Cigar Of The Year. From the very first puff, the powerful Nicaraguan spice dazzles the palate. As it progresses, the flavor profile turns to rich cedar and earthy, smooth raw tobacco. Sweet black cherry and dark hints of cocoa linger in the background, along with a substantial floral blast on the finish. Although not for the faint of heart, Antaño Gran Reserva is incredibly balanced and enjoyable.

93-Rated) Rolled in a smooth wrapper with an oily gleam, this robusto shows a lively, sweet-and-spicy interplay of graham cracker, red and black pepper and some boozy, rum barrel notes. A touch of dark chocolate appears on the palate as well. The draw and burn remain even.

92-Rated) The 5-year-aged filler tobaccos from Esteli and the Jalapa Valley spend an extra year fermenting in rum oak barrels to impart an extra woodiness to the flavor profile. The dark Nicaraguan wrapper has an unbelievable aroma of fruit and cedar which carries through to your first few puffs. A wonderful earthiness is present from beginning to end, with a spiciness on the finish. Rigidly square-pressed, the draw and the burn are nothing short of spectacular.

92-Rated) 2019 #21 Cigar of the Year. A Blast of nutty flavor starts things off, along with a definitive presence of oak and white pepper. Dark chocolate and nutmeg float around in the background, as well as a soft bread note to tie it all together. The finish is smooth and thick, with a bit of sweetness and spice. Joya Silver is much tamer than some of the company’s more popular offerings, yet it offers just enough to satisfy a very diverse audience.

91-Rated) The aroma is sweet and creamy, but the flavor is anything but that. Notes of pepper and spice mixed with cedar that never lets up from beginning to end. Full-bodied, smooth, and brilliantly blended, Antano 1970 is most definitely a gem of a cigar.

90-Rated) Before even lighting this cigar, you get a strong aroma of dark chocolate and cedar. This intriguing mix carries over to your first few puffs, but then the cedar and earth start to dominate the senses. A small element of spice is present on the retrohale, but nothing that ever overpowers the wonderful taste of the natural sweetness of the fine aged tobacco.

90-Rated) Pre-light, there's a sweet aroma of a cocoa, along with a wonderful sweetness left on your lips. It's when the cigar is lit that the hidden power begins to creep up. Despite having a strong sense of pepper counterbalanced with the dessert-like quality of the maduro wrapper, Antano Dark Corojo is always smooth and never bites back.
