My Father La Promesa Toro Pack of 5 Cigars (Includes Free Shipping)
The My Father La Promesa Toro represents a profound milestone for Don Pepin Garcia, acting as a literal "Promise" kept to his family after departing Cuba. His goal was to establish himself as a premier cigar maker on the global stage, and today, My Father Cigars stands as a dominant force with world-class Nicaraguan farms and production facilities. This celebratory cigar is produced at the state-of-the-art My Father factory. The construction features a binder and filler of Nicaraguan tobacco sourced from the Garcia family farms, all tied together by a rich, dark Ecuadorian Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper leaf.
The wrapper itself is ultra-premium, boasting a reddish tint and an oily sheen that sits perfectly against the blue and green "La Promesa" secondary band. Upon lighting, the cigar delivers the famous "Pepin Pepper" spice, which gradually mellows into a sophisticated flavor profile of oak, leather, and bright citrus. As the smoke progresses, subtle hints of cinnamon and brown sugar emerge, creating a bold yet balanced medium-to-full strength profile. Despite its complexity, this blend is considered smoother and more approachable than some of the Garcias' more aggressive historical releases.
The My Father La Promesa series has been highly recognized by critics, notably with the blend achieving a 92 rating from Cigar Aficionado. In this 6” x 52 Toro format, the cigar offers an elongated and cool burn, making it a favorite for those seeking an afternoon of relaxation. It is a natural companion for a glass of port or a sweet dark beer, sharing a similar pedigree with other My Father hits like La Opulencia and Flor De Las Antillas Maduro. Experience the legacy of a man who surpassed his own ambitions with the La Promesa Toro.
