My Father La Opulencia Toro Pack of 5 Cigars (Free Shipping Included) | Selected by Cigar Aficionado 2018 #2 Cigar Of The Year – Rated 95
The My Father La Opulencia Toro is one of the finest creations from Don Pepin Garcia and the My Father Cigars team in Nicaragua. Released in 2017, it quickly made waves in the premium cigar market, captivating both critics and aficionados. This box-pressed gem extends the My Father line while adding its own unique twist. Its blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers, dual Nicaraguan binder (Corojo and Criollo), and luxurious Mexican Rosado Oscuro wrapper creates a complex, flavorful profile that has earned multiple 90+ ratings, including a prestigious 95 from Cigar Aficionado.
With a marbled, oily wrapper, double bands, and a signature green foot ribbon, the toro exudes elegance before even being lit. The expert construction ensures a smooth draw, abundant smoke, and a perfectly even burn. Cinnamon spice on the cold draw gives way to Don Pepin’s signature white pepper at first light, followed by creamy, earthy tones. Sweet tobacco, baking spices, nutmeg, cocoa, coffee, cedar, and a subtle cayenne finish round out a layered, medium-to-full-bodied experience. At 6” x 54, the toro delivers a medium-full-bodied smoke that is both rich and approachable, offering a refined alternative to the powerhouse of the original My Father.
La Opulencia is built for seasoned smokers who appreciate intricacy and balance. Comparable to My Father classics like Flor de Las Antillas and Le Bijou 1922, it emphasizes flavor complexity over raw strength. Available in boxes of 20 and six luxurious sizes, the toro is the perfect format for a long, indulgent session. Ideal with scotch, bourbon, dark rum, or a creamy coffee, the 6” x 54 toro lives up to its name—“La Opulencia” or “The Opulent”—delivering sophistication, depth, and an unforgettable smoking experience for aficionados and newcomers alike.
