My Father Connecticut Toro Cigars
When a master blender known for bold, full-bodied creations—such as Don Pepin Garcia—sets his sights on a softer, more refined profile, the cigar world pays attention. The My Father Connecticut Toro is a testament to that mastery, delivering a mellow-to-medium experience without sacrificing flavor, complexity, or craftsmanship. This blend has earned multiple 90 ratings from Cigar Aficionado, praised for its rich, balanced flavors and exceptional construction.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua, the Connecticut Toro features premium Nicaraguan Habano and Criollo long-fillers bound by a flavorful Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 binder. The star, however, is the silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper—an exceptionally smooth, blonde leaf that brings elegance and creaminess to every puff.
Visually, the cigar stands out with the iconic My Father band complemented by an additional gold band, signaling its unique place in the lineup. The wrapper’s flawless golden hue hints at the refined experience ahead. On the palate, expect early notes of cream, nuts, and soft cedar, with just a whisper of the signature Pepin spice. As the cigar progresses, the strength gently builds to a balanced medium body, offering a harmonious mix of sweetness, nuttiness, and subtle spice.
Whether you're a seasoned My Father fan or exploring premium Connecticut-wrapped cigars, the My Father Connecticut Toro shines as an impeccably constructed, flavor-packed option suitable for any time of day. It pairs beautifully with morning coffee and remains smooth and satisfying right down to the nub. For a slightly fuller My Father experience, consider the Cabaiguan Maduro as your next step.
