Montecristo Espada Oscuro Guard Pack of 5 Cigars - Free Shipping!
The Montecristo Espada Oscuro Guard 5-Pack offers smokers an accessible way to experience a premium Nicaraguan puro developed through an extraordinary industry partnership. Crafted in Estelí, Nicaragua, at Plasencia Cigars S.A., these cigars were created through a collaboration between the blending experts of Altadis USA’s Grupo de Maestros and the Plasencia family. Utilizing entirely estate-grown Nicaraguan tobaccos, these 5-packs feature a dark, vintage Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper leaf pulled from the Plasencia family's private aged reserves. Bound and filled with rich Nicaraguan long-fillers, this medium-to-full-bodied blend achieved multiple 90+ ratings in Cigar Aficionado, making a 5-pack a standout addition for any serious humidor.
Dressed in signature black-and-gold double bands bearing the famous Montecristo emblem, every 6" x 50 Toro in the 5-pack demonstrates the high level of rolling consistency synonymous with Plasencia production. The classic Toro format provides a balanced combustion rate, allowing the blend's dark, complex flavors to emerge evenly throughout the smoke session. The opening profile delivers prominent notes of rich oak, toasted nuts, and black pepper, before settling into a smooth interplay of warm bread, espresso, and deep earth. Notes of light citrus and baking spice balance out the dark wrapper's natural oils, leading into a long, creamy finish that stays clean on the palate.
Stocking a 5-pack of these Guard Toros ensures you have a high-end option ready for weekend smoke sessions, special occasions, or evening relaxation. The blend's satisfying strength and rich flavor profile make it a natural match for a pour of bourbon, aged rum, or a stout beer. For enthusiasts who want the dark wrapper richness of cigars such as the Plasencia Alma Fuerte combined with the classic reputation of Montecristo, this 5-pack delivers top-shelf quality in a versatile, popular vitola.
