Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez Belicoso Pack of 5 Cigars (Includes Free Shipping)
When AJ Fernandez partnered with Altadis, there was one brand that stood above the rest—Montecristo. Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez Belicoso represents the full realization of that vision, blending tradition with AJ’s unmistakable Nicaraguan intensity. Since its debut, this cigar has garnered widespread acclaim, including multiple 90+ ratings from Cigar Aficionado, and is widely regarded as the boldest Montecristo ever created.
The blend brings together Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 and Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers, a spicy Nicaraguan Corojo ’98 binder, and a dark, well-aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Crafted without compromise, this cigar was designed for experienced smokers who appreciate strength, complexity, and precision construction.
A luxurious presentation completes the experience. Golden Montecristo chests feature the legendary trident logo, while each box-pressed belicoso wears dual black-and-gold bands that command attention. Once lit, dense blue smoke delivers notes of sweet bread, baking spices, and white pepper layered over rich, aged tobacco. Subtle cedar and cream emerge on the finish as the cigar transitions from medium-full to a fully developed, full-bodied profile. The 6 1/8” x 54 belicoso shape enhances draw control and flavor intensity, making every puff deeply satisfying.
While stronger and more assertive than classic Dominican Montecristos, this cigar remains balanced and refined throughout. It’s best suited for seasoned enthusiasts and pairs beautifully with tawny port, dark beer, or strong coffee. If you’ve enjoyed AJ Fernandez collaborations like Hoyo La Amistad or Ramon Allones by AJ Fernandez, this release belongs at the top of your list. Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez Belicoso isn’t just a reinterpretation—it’s a bold evolution of a legend.
