Drew Estate describes it as “flawless in both flavor and character — rich, complex and full bodied without being harsh,” and it remains one of the flagship expressions of the No. 9 line. With its oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and a blend that includes Honduran and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos bound by Brazilian Mata Fina, this toro offers notes of espresso, cocoa, earth, and spice. It’s a full-bodied smoke with a satisfying draw and robust smoke output, often described as one of the most expressive No. 9 vitolas.
1 - Liga Privada No. 9 Belicoso - 6 x 52 The Liga Privada No. 9 Belicoso delivers the same powerful blend as the rest of the line in a tapered vitola—ideal for a sharper, more focused draw. As with other No. 9s, it features the striking dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf Oscuro wrapper over a Brazilian binder and Honduran/Nicaraguan fillers. While specific ratings for the Belicoso are harder to locate, the No. 9 series as a whole has received Top 25 honors and a 94-point recognition from Cigar Aficionado (2015) and fans expect the Belicoso to echo that high standard in its concentrated form.
