The La Finca Maduro is a killer budget priced cigar that are pleasing to the palates of most cigar smokers. These cigars are blended and rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua and they are entirely comprised of Nicaraguan tobacco. La Finca is known for being a straightforward stick that can be smoked over and over again, day in and day out.
The maduro is slightly bolder than the natural but it still holds onto that light herbal bouquet with nutty flavors, black pepper, sweet chocolate and features a long spicy finish. The burn line is a bit ragged but at around $2 a stick don't expect perfection. The smoke output was okay and a bit on the wispy side. The wrapper was a bit on the grainy toothy side and the draw was loose and easy but not like sucking through a straw easy. These La Finca Maduros burn a bit on the fast side but they don't seem to get hot, harsh or otherwise unpleasant. The ash held for around an inch before I tapped it off.
These La Finca Maduro cigars are an excellent bargain. They don't require that you pay much attention to them but that is part of what makes them great for the golf course, while out smoking with friends, or while you take a quick break from work. I only wish that the La Finca Maduro was also available in the famous La Finca Ammo Box.
