Kristoff Pistoff Robusto Cigars
The Kristoff Pistoff Robusto is a high-octane boutique blend designed for those who demand maximum intensity from their smoking sessions. Since Glen Case launched Kristoff in 2004, the brand has become a staple in the premium market, and the "Pistoff" line is undeniably their boldest achievement to date. This powerhouse profile is backed by serious critical acclaim, including a 91 rating from Cigar Journal and a prestigious "Best Buy" of the Year distinction.
Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the Pistoff features a relentless core of double- and triple-fermented Nicaraguan fillers and an Indonesian binder, all finished with a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper. This combination creates a "flavor firecracker" that manages to balance its massive strength with aged, sophisticated complexity.
The Robusto (5 1/2" x 54) is oily, dark, and rustic—a beautiful specimen that tastes even better than it looks. The experience begins with a sharp blast of white pepper that lingers in the background, making way for a rich bouquet of dark chocolate, toffee, toasted nuts, and a unique hint of licorice. The finish is thick, sweet, and incredibly satisfying, proving that "full-bodied" might be an understatement for this blend.
Because of its "in-your-face" strength, the Pistoff Robusto is best reserved for seasoned enthusiasts and should always be enjoyed on a full stomach. It stands shoulder-to-shoulder with other legendary powerhouses like the Oliva Serie V and Camacho Triple Maduro. Pair it with a stout, espresso, or a high-proof bourbon to match its depth.
