Cinco de Cinco joins the company’s elite Obras Maestras line, or "Masterpieces," and debuted to great acclaim, earning two strong 92 ratings in Cigar Aficionado and capturing the attention of cigar enthusiasts worldwide.
Made by the incredibly skilled artisans at Fabrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua, the ultra-premium vitolas are housed in shiny green and white boxes, each stick clothed with a beautiful green, white, and gold band. The box-pressed construction is nothing short of impeccable, with each and every easy puff yielding billowing clouds of dense, white smoke. As can be expected, the experience starts off with a blast of spicy Nicaraguan pepper, soon to be followed by rich cedar and sweet cinnamon. The earthy background is complemented by robust notes of dark chocolate and cocoa, along with a creamy undertone of floral sweetness. This sweetness is particularly noticeable on the retrohale, doubtless an allusion to the world-famous Antano 1970 that put the company on the map in the first place. The finish is smooth, strong, and spicy, and overall Cinco de Cinco settles at the high end of medium-full-bodied. The toro comes in at 6” x 52 and smokes long and cool, providing a beautiful take on the flavor profile and plenty of time to enjoy it.
