Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Super Gordo Cigars
The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Super Gordo is a powerhouse premium cigar wrapped in a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf leaf that’s rugged in appearance yet undeniably beautiful. Its Nicaraguan binder pairs perfectly with a hearty filler blend sourced from the esteemed Oliva and Pepin family farms in Nicaragua. Construction is exceptional—expertly packed, perfectly balanced, and crafted to burn slow and even from first light to the final inch. Each draw produces dense, creamy clouds of white smoke that linger around you, especially on a still day.
While this is the first cigar to bear Jaime Garcia’s name, it’s certainly not his first masterful creation. As the son of cigar legend José “Pepin” Garcia, Jaime crafted the original My Father cigar as a tribute to his father—a blend that quickly gained acclaim. Building on that legacy, he returns with the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, a bold 5 3/4" x 66 vitola celebrated as one of the standout releases of 2010.
What sets the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial apart from many traditional My Father or Don Pepin offerings is its approach to flavor. Instead of leading with the signature Pepin spice, this blend uses spice as a refined accent. The core profile reveals a tapestry of mocha, deep chocolate, roasted nuts, warm cinnamon, and just a touch of peppery kick. It’s not the typical Pepin-style firecracker—but rather a rich, comforting, and remarkably satisfying experience that showcases Jaime’s own blending identity with style.
