Isla Del Sol Gran Corona Cigars
Crafted by the legendary Jonathan Drew, Isla Del Sol Gran Corona is a premium infused cigar designed for smokers who love pairing rich tobacco with a fresh cup of coffee. Produced in the same Nicaraguan factory as Drew Estate’s iconic Acid brand, Isla Del Sol offers a more budget-friendly option without sacrificing the exceptional quality that Drew Estate is known for. Unlike the bolder Acid or Ambrosia blends, Isla Del Sol takes a milder, coffee-forward approach that’s perfect for those easing into the world of infused cigars.
Expertly constructed using select Indonesian and Nicaraguan fillers, Indonesian binder tobaccos, each cigar is draped in a silky Sumatra wrapper and undergoes Drew Estate’s signature infusion process. A sweetened cap rounds out the flavor profile, delivering a consistent and satisfying smoke. Measuring 5" x 44, the Gran Corona format provides a slightly stronger, more concentrated expression of the Sumatra wrapper’s natural flavor.
Isla Del Sol is a mixed-filler, or “Cuban sandwich,” cigar that guarantees an effortless draw every time. Before you even light up, the pre-light aroma of rich tobacco and fresh coffee is enough to make your mouth water. Once lit, the cigar produces an intoxicating room note reminiscent of aromatic pipe tobacco. The flavor journey opens with smooth earth and sweet black coffee, gradually introducing floral undertones and a hint of spicy Nicaraguan pepper. The finish is thick, sweet, and satisfying, thanks to the deliciously enhanced cap.
This mild-to-medium-bodied cigar is approachable for virtually any palate—both fans of flavored cigars and those who normally avoid them. Its versatile profile makes it an ideal morning smoke, especially alongside a hot cup of coffee. Despite its affordable price point, Isla Del Sol holds its own against higher-priced coffee-infused cigars like Java by Drew Estate for Rocky Patel. Translating to “Island of Sun,” Isla Del Sol lives up to its name by adding a touch of warmth and brightness to any smoking occasion.
