Both cigar styles offer a pleasing aesthetic, with the Shade-wrapped being a smooth and flawless golden stick exuding mild, earthy aromas and the Maduro, a chocolate candy bar of pungent goodness. They both light and draw easily, the tobaccos having spent so much time together, it seems they want to postpone the inevitable just a bit longer with a solid, long-lasting ash. The Connecticut starts out creamy with a flavor like butter on toast and builds into a medium-bodied experience with hints of black tea and almonds. The two well-fermented leaves of the Maduro variety offer mocha and mild spices on top of leather and a touch of sweetness.
