Herrera Esteli Habano Robusto Grande Pack of 5 Cigars | Selected by Cigar Aficionado 2021 #15 Cigar Of The Year – Rated 93 | Free Shipping!
Drew Estate’s Herrera Estelí Habano Robusto Grande is more than a cigar—it’s the beginning of a legacy. Introduced after classics like Liga Privada and MUWAT, the Herrera Estelí Habano was the first blend crafted by Willy Herrera, whose Cuban roots brought an entirely new influence to the Drew Estate factory. When Jonathan Drew welcomed Herrera to the team, he gave him an extraordinary challenge: spend a year in Nicaragua with no boundaries and craft a “great cigar.” Months of trial and error eventually led to a blend that became the celebrated Herrera Estelí Habano, a cigar that debuted to critical acclaim with a Top 25 Cigar of the Year ranking in 2013 and quickly developed a cult following.
The Robusto Grande vitola (5 ¼” x 52) was later honored with a stellar 93 rating and ranked as the #15 Cigar of the Year in 2021 by Cigar Aficionado.
The blend showcases a balanced marriage of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, a Honduran binder, and a lustrous Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that gleams with quality. Each puff begins with a creamy burst of spice before transitioning into flavors of cedar, leather, pepper, and earthy raw tobacco. Medium-to-full in body, it delivers strength without aggression, capturing the essence of a Cuban profile while remaining uniquely Drew Estate. Its flawless construction ensures a consistent burn, easy draw, and a firm pack that cigar lovers have come to expect from ultra-premium sticks.
Visually striking in its Cuban-style packaging, the Robusto Grande is best suited for experienced enthusiasts who enjoy complexity in a refined format. It pairs beautifully with bourbon or aged scotch, and aficionados often compare it to legendary Cuban throwbacks such as Don Pepin Blue Label or Padron. Those who wish to explore Willy Herrera’s range can also enjoy the Herrera Estelí Norteño as a perfect companion. Whether viewed as a Cuban in disguise or the epitome of modern cigar craftsmanship, the Herrera Estelí Habano Robusto Grande remains a must-have selection for any serious collector or enthusiast.
