H. Upmann by AJ Fernandez Belicoso Cigars
A perfect union of heritage and modern craftsmanship, the H. Upmann by A.J. Fernandez Belicoso is an exceptional cigar for both seasoned aficionados and new cigar enthusiasts. H. Upmann’s legacy dates back to the mid-19th century, making it likely that your ancestors enjoyed the rich, refined flavors of this historic brand.
In this collaboration, renowned master blender A.J. Fernandez, behind popular lines like Diesel, San Lotano, New World, and Man O’ War, brings his expertise to the table. Together, they crafted a remarkable blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican longleaf, wrapped in a bold Corojo ’99 binder and finished with a luxurious Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.
Each 6 1/8” x 52 belicoso showcases a chocolate-brown wrapper adorned with the classic H. Upmann band, featuring “1844” in gold over a deep tropical blue backdrop. The secondary band credits A.J. Fernandez for relocating this legendary Dominican brand to Nicaragua. From the first draw, enjoy café con leche, marzipan, and malted barley, transitioning to floral notes with cocoa and subtle spice, and finishing with rich espresso, black pepper, and cherry stem flavors.
Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, the H. Upmann by A.J. Fernandez blend has earned as high as a 92-point rating by Cigar Aficionado and continues to attract cigar lovers worldwide. Perfect for collectors or as a luxurious everyday smoke, this belicoso exemplifies the harmonious blend of tradition, flavor, and premium craftsmanship.
