Gurkha Ninja Churchill Cigars
For years, standard industry perception surrounding Gurkha centered almost exclusively on ultra-premium offerings with astronomical price tags, driven by extravagant releases such as the Black Dragon and His Majesty's Reserve. When Kaizad Hansotia was first presented with the concept of a budget-friendly line by his development team, he was admittedly skeptical about shifting away from the company's luxury image. That concept materialized as the Gurkha Ninja, and its swift commercial success quickly won over both brand leadership and cigar enthusiasts alike. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera Las Lavas, the lineup was released in 20-count boxes across five core vitolas: Knife (5 x 55), Perfecto No. 2 (6 x 60), Torpedo (6 x 52), XO (6 x 60), and the classic Churchill (7 x 52). The Ninja Churchill is built with a dark Dominican Criollo '98 wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend composed of Dominican Cuban-seed long-fillers.
This blend delivers the rich, complex profile expected from a dark wrapper leaf, opening with balanced notes of natural sweetness, dark leather, rich earth, and roasted nuts accented by a touch of black pepper. Operating at a medium-to-full body and a medium-to-full flavor profile, the traditional 7 x 52 Churchill format allows the smoke to remain cool and refined across a extended burn time. Where the Gurkha Ninja line truly sets itself apart from the broader Beach Cigar Group catalog is its commitment to straightforward value, delivering reliable construction and flavor without flashy gimmicks or inflated markups. Supported by a 91 rating from Cigar Aficionado the blend, the Gurkha Ninja Churchill provides enthusiasts with a satisfying, long-lasting Dominican cigar at an accessible price point.
