2 x G.A.R. American Standard Robusto (5" x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). This Nicaraguan Puro made its first appearance at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in Las Vegas. It has a rich dark chocolate flavor, toasty cedar notes, earth and bold black pepper notes in the finish. A balanced smoke that will have you pledging your allegiance to the American Standard by Gran Habano.
2 x Gran Habano Corojo #5 Maduro Robusto (5" x 52, ●●●●● Full). This Cigar consists of a filler and binder blend of Nicaraguan and Costa Rican tobaccos married with a dark, toothy Nicaraguan Corojo Maduro leaf. The result is a unique cigar that's sure to leave a big impression. A firm draw delivers ample amounts of heavy white smoke, coating the palate with a spicy array of nutty, earthy flavors. Coffee, black pepper, and chocolate are the main notes, along with a hint of cherry and floral flavor on the retrohale. A spicy, clean finish ties the bold, rich package together very nicely.
2 x Gran Habano Corojo #5 Robusto (5" x 52, ●●●●● Full). This is a rich and complex cigar that is brimming with flavor and body. This smoke is made with only the best filler tobacco from Nicaragua, Mexico, and Costa Rica, bound in a Honduran binder, and wrapped in a dark and oily Nicaraguan corojo wrapper. The flavors jump off this cigar from the minute it touches your lips. A subtle spiciness will get your palate watering, but it is after you light it that it comes alive. Rushes of cedar and earth flow through your mouth and a sensation of black pepper is ever present on the retrohale.
2 x Gran Habano Criollo #3 Robusto (5" x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). This cigar sports a bold filler blend consisting of tobaccos from Costa Rica, Mexico, and Nicaragua and binders from Nicaragua as well. The rich Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper leaf brings the whole mix together. A firm draw brings forth solid and steady clouds of smoke, producing a meaty flavor profile with notes of caramel and black cherry, with a short and clean finish.
2 x Gran Habano Connecticut #1 Robusto (5" x 52, ●●○○○ Mild-Medium) These cigars are the smoothest, mildest, most easy-to-smoke blend from the otherwise high-powered Gran Habano brand. Handmade in Danli, Honduras, these beauties include a concoction of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos and a golden-brown Ecuador Connecticut wrapper leaf. The smoke is thick and gray, coating the palate with creamy, earthy flavors including hints of nuts and vanilla. The finish is short and clean, leaving behind a tiny hint of grass. They are pleasant, smooth, and well-balanced.
