Gran Habano Corojo #5 Mini Cigarillos in a Tin
The 3 1/8” x 22 Gran Habano Corojo #5 Mini Cigarillos, like their full-sized counterparts, are handmade in Honduras under the supervision of frontman George Rico. Crafted with Nicaraguan and Costa Rican filler tobaccos and a Nicaraguan Habano binder, these cigarillos are finished with a spicy Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper leaf, delivering a heavy, rich smoke that packs a punch in a very small package. The Gran Habano Corojo #5 Series has earned multiple 90+ ratings from Cigar Aficionado, praised for its rich, balanced flavors and exceptional craftsmanship.
The undisputed heavyweight of George and Guillermo Rico’s many fine cigars, the Gran Habano Corojo #5 Mini Cigarillos can go toe-to-toe with stogies costing twice as much. First entering the ring in 2003 to immediate fanfare, this potent and delicious creation has become a hands-down favorite among aficionados seeking complexity, spice, and value. True to its name, ripe Nicaraguan Corojo is the cornerstone of each vitola—not only as the Habano wrapper and succulent binder but also as a key component of the filler blend, which is complemented by high-quality longleaf tobaccos from Mexico and Costa Rica.
Emerging like a rich milk chocolate bar from the depths of your humidor, these cigarillos might tempt you to take a bite during a cold draw test. Slick with finger-coating oil and exuding the aroma of an old bourbon barrel, each Gran Habano Corojo #5 Mini Cigarillo radiates an intimidating aura that could give even seasoned smokers slight pause. But bravery is rewarded: thick plumes of smoke carrying bittersweet mocha, hazelnut, tanned leather, and candied orange peel flood the palate soon after lighting. The cigar’s heavy yet smooth profile offers a surprising twist at the midpoint, introducing a hint of warm, cinnamon-topped tapioca pudding before launching a final barrage of charred cedar, creamy marzipan, espresso, and dark fruit.
Fans of full-strength cigars like Camacho Coyolar and Partagas Cifuentes know you can never have too many sticks stashed away for aging. Now is the time to stock up on Gran Habano Corojo #5 Mini Cigarillos to satisfy your cravings now and into the future. Otherwise, you might find yourself regretting it when it’s time for another round and your humidor is empty.
