Factory Smokes Maduro Robusto Cigars
The Factory Smokes series from Jonathan Drew and the Drew Estate team has made a big splash among everyday smokers, and the Maduro Robusto might just be the standout of the bunch. Handcrafted at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Nicaragua—home to some of the world’s top-tier cigars—this budget-friendly beauty combines mixed-filler Central American tobaccos with an Indonesian binder and a rich, dark maduro wrapper.
As with most bundled cigar lines, the maduro version tends to grab the spotlight, and it’s easy to see why here. The flavor, performance, and value all come together in one seriously satisfying package.
Packed in bundles of 25, these cigars wear the Factory Smokes band with maroon trim to indicate the maduro blend. Rustic in appearance but impressively well-made for the price point, each stick delivers a smooth draw and clouds of aromatic blue smoke. Flavors begin with deep earthy tobacco, quickly unfolding into notes of cocoa, coffee, and nutmeg. A grassy background note adds balance, while white pepper pops on the retrohale. Medium-bodied and remarkably clean on the finish, this 5” x 54 robusto makes for an ideal short smoke that delivers more than you'd expect from a mixed-filler blend.
This blend is perfect for beginners and more experienced smokers alike. Medium-bodied, the blend offers a fairly straight-forward flavor profile that is easy to enjoy. Like most maduro cigars, Factory Smokes Maduro pairs well with coffee or dark beer and makes a great morning cigar with which to start the day. Comparable in stature to other maduro sticks such as Flor de Oliva Maduro or Perdomo Fresco Maduro, this guy is not your typical bundle cigar. Whether you are introducing someone to the world of fine cigars or just want a good stick to enjoy while conducting the weekend cook-out, Factory Smokes Maduro Robusto by Drew Estate is an absolute no-brainer.
