Diesel Shorty Ltd. Cigars
Diesel Shorty Ltd. cigars came out some years ago as a value-priced super premium option for those looking for bold, rich flavor in an affordable package. Shorty is a 4 1/2" x 60 short gordo that came out soon after the brand’s introduction and appeals to those who favor the “Nub” style cigars. Since their inception, the Diesel name has grown immensely, as well as the man behind the blend. That man is AJ Fernandez, and since bringing Diesel Shorty cigars to the market, his journey has been an absolutely non-stop climb to the top, as to date he has introduced some of the most successful blends of cigars the world has ever seen. Diesel was kind of a groundbreaker for AJ, simply something leading to his full-on takeoff. They are made today the same way they were made years ago, down in Nicaragua, using Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos and Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrappers. Bold, flavorful, and just plain good, Diesel has become somewhat of a household name for cigar freaks across the country.
It wouldn't be too crazy to call Diesel Shorty Ltd cigars a classic, despite its young age. It was truly an instant classic when it took off, and although many cigars are currently made under the Diesel name, the original blend remains the most popular. Constructed in typical Fernandez fashion, Diesel draws easy and smokes sharp, producing huge clouds of heavy white smoke that paint the palate with an earthy profile of raw tobacco, red pepper, and black cherry. The sweetness is most prevalent on the retrohale, which is a beautiful finish to the spicy palate note. Well-rounded and balanced, Diesel makes a great choice for anyone wanting something strong, but not sickening strong.
Diesel Shorty Ltd. is not just another cheap cigar. It's not one that will be forgotten in a couple years or fall by the wayside. It has proven itself as a delightful full-bodied cigar that is suitable for all audiences and will please the beginner as well as the experienced aficionado. Anyone that's been in the game for a while knows just how good Diesel cigars can be, as they make just that much of a first impression. Diesel Shorty pairs well with full-bodied beer, cider, or bourbon and will likely be very appreciated by fans of Oliva Serie V or AJ Fernandez's other masterpiece, San Lotano. An instant classic from its humble beginnings, Diesel Shorty continues to be a hit for cigar lovers everywhere.
